The perfect fluke, not once but twice!
Aces are the craze this month with four Holes -in -One being recorded thus far. On the 17th of January something special happened with Helen Bowes and Duncan Moffat both achieving Hole- in- One on the 16th Hole. It was Helen in the morning followed by Duncan in the afternoon.

Our Saturday pm Winners were Ian McPherson and Wally Smith.

In second place on Saturday were Jonathan Bernard and visitor Billy Filanowski.

It has been a week with extreme temperatures and high humidity. The golf course is holding up superbly with Steven and his team keeping their fingers on the pulse. The shallow bore-hole that was installed last month has helped a great deal with the supply on demand. The pump house has stopped working a few times over this last month and has pushed the irrigation cycle out once or twice. So if any of you have experienced a little water during your round, we do apologise.

The last of our League practice sessions took place over this weekend  with the Mid – Amateur, Premier and Challenge sides all enjoying their  last trial game. After the golf a boerewors roll was enjoyed upstairs as the sun slowly set. We would like to thank Carl the Caterer for enduring the heat all of Saturday to supply the members and the League Teams with delicious rolls, we think he lost about 5 kilograms. We would like to wish our League Teams all the best for the upcoming season which starts next weekend on the 28th of January.

In third place on Saturday were Duncan Johansen and Steve Thomas.

In fourth Place on Saturday were Gareth Wobbe and Antonio Bruni.

The Chammy Cup and the Singles Matchplay entry forms are out and available on the notice board. We ask that you please provide payment with your entry form. We have also spoken to Carl and a Pub Menu will be available so make sure not to eat dinner before coming.

Duncan Moffat feeling good after his hole in one!

Helen Bowes achieving her 5th Hole in One!

It was our Clovelly Closed Junior Cup on Sunday and we are happy to report that we had 30 juniors booked to compete. After speaking with Dave Odendaal and Mike Michell during the week the future looks bright for Clovelly Country Club. At present there are 45 juniors currently enrolled with Mike Michell and Dave Odendaal. This is the result of a drive to increase junior golf at Clovelly Country Club. We are also very proud of our Raymond Ackerman Golf Academy which is just growing from strength to strength with Peter Jones and his team making positive improvements every year and really setting the bench mark across the Country.
